Withdrawal Sinks Startup Venture

A small hedge fund firm shut down this month after losing its only investor.Spectrum Capital of Boca Raton, Fla., was launched this year by Roger Egbert, Seth Setrakian and Brandon Weiskopf. Its sole backer was Rony Schlapfer, a veteran currency trader who currently is a partner at Gellos Capital.A source estimated that Spectrum was running $25 million of gross assets on behalf of Schlapfer, who submitted his redemption request about a month ago....
