Archer Capital is about to shut its doors after 14 years.The firm, which invested in the debt of distressed mid-size companies and pursued special-situation equity plays, told limited partners in November that it would begin returning their capital. That process was 80% complete in January and now is just about finished.Archer was running $1.3 billion of net assets at its peak in 2015.
